Ask an Apprentice!

About this Speaker

After completing my GCSEs at Corfe Hills I decided to stay on at Sixth Form to work towards my A Levels which I passed in 2018. I decided that I wanted to pursue an apprenticeship rather than go to university and applied for a Level 3 Accountancy (AAT) Apprenticeship via The Bournemouth & Poole College. I was soon successful in securing a position at Caterpillar! I am glad I made this decision and wanted to share my passion for apprenticeships, so I joined the Young Ambassadors Apprenticeship Network (YAAN), for which I am now the Chair for the Dorset and Solent Network. I finished my Accountancy Apprenticeship in 2020, during which I won ‘Apprentice of the Year in 2019’ at an awards ceremony hosted by The College!

On passing my apprenticeship, I was offered a full time position with Caterpillar and am now working towards my Level 4 AAT in conjunction with The Bournemouth & Poole College.
